More from our lovely wishes-to-remain-anonymous 8th-grade-teaching correspondent. Brava to her and her class, making lemons from lemonade.
We had a long, dreary morning of testing last week, so in the afternoon I decided to let my writing class create haiku inspired by testing. Here are some highlights:
“I’m scared of testing
bubbles lurking every page
all black and white rage”“All testing kills trees
I hope one day trees revolt
and kill test makers”“Stupid and boring
inaccurately scoring
tests are just not fun”“Supreme black and white
judging academic skills
time-consuming tests”
