Very sad to read of the death of children’s book illustrator and writer Simms Taback on Christmas. He was a genius…and by all accounts a mensch. Tablet magazine contributor Steve Bodner wrote a lovely tribute, and included my Tablet profile from earlier this year. It’s worth rereading just for the slideshow of Simms’s work. May his memory be a blessing.
