This week in Tablet magazine I wrote about having to decide between the (secular) school camping trip and the Hebrew school play. For once, no commenters (to date) have called me the worst Jew and/or the worst mother ever. (Presumably because I made the “correct” choice.) Sadly, however, my Hannah Montana references got cut, which makes the ending (quoting Miley’s earworm “Best of Both Worlds”) kind of random, but oh well.
