I really enjoyed doing this piece for Tablet magazine, pretending to be speaking to Maxie’s kindergarten class at “graduation.” The list of names was fun, yes, but I also loved making a point about what a GOOD kindergarten should be and do.
Our children are deprived of tusks, horns, antlers and jars filled with creepy stuff. And ferns. Science is dead.
