one climbs. the other acts like a goofball.

A story I did for Budget Travel about a multigenerational family trip to Mexico is finally out — here it is.

I am working on POSITIVE BODY IMAGE but damn, one of the pictures in the story is upsetting.

In the actual physical magazine, though not in the online version, there are a lot more photos — including a ravishing one of Josie looking dreamy in the bow of the boat in the biosphere (she said she was thinking about being a mermaid). I think the story is longer too, but I’m not sure. The edit definitely played up the conflict on the trip. I don’t think it was quite that bad!

I love the slideshow feature, and how they had you guys write your own captions. Or maybe “write” your own captions. And you look so beautiful in that green dress!

Of course they played up the conflict. Multigenerational family trip story without trauma is no story. Fact-checkable fiction, right?
